چکیده
Due to the lack of a standardized 3D cephalometric analysis methodology, 2D cephalograms synthesized from cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) volumes are widely used for in dental CBCT systems. However, compared with conventional X-ray film based cephalograms, such synthetic image contrast and resolution, which impairs landmark identification. In addition, increased radiation dose applied acquire scan reconstruction causes potential health risks. this work, we propose sigmoid-based intensity transform that uses nonlinear optical property films increase volumes. To improve super resolution deep learning techniques investigated. For low purpose, pixel-to-pixel generative adversarial network (pix2pixGAN) is proposed cephalogram synthesis directly two projections. detection an efficient automatic method using combination LeNet-5 ResNet50 proposed. Our experiments demonstrate efficacy pix2pixGAN synthesis, achieving average peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) value 33.8 reference Pix2pixGAN also achieves best performance PSNR 32.5 without introduction checkerboard or jagging artifacts. 86.7% successful rate 2 mm clinical acceptable range on ISBI Test1 data, comparable state-of-the-art methods. The trained can be 93.0% 80.7% 4 precision projections, respectively.

Cone beam CT for dental and maxillofacial imaging: dose matters.
The widespread use of cone-beam CT (CBCT) in dentistry has led to increasing concern regarding justification and optimisation of CBCT exposures. When used as a substitute to multidetector CT (MDCT), CBCT can lead to significant dose reduction; however, low-dose protocols of current-generation MDCTs show that there is an overlap between CBCT and MDCT doses. More importantly, although the 3D info...

Introduction: Nowadays the use of cone beam computed tomography in dental imaging is increasing, although this method has a much lower dose than conventional CT scans, it delivers a higher dose than the panoramic and periapical patients therefore, , the aim of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the patients' dose in dental CBCTs and methods of optimizing and reducing the patien...

Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is the modern third dimension applied in the field of oral maxillofacial region. With lower radiation dose compared to conventional CT, its applications in dentistry has increased tremendously. Artefacts can seriously degrade the quality of computed tomographic (CBCT) images, sometimes to the point of making them diagnostically unusable. To optimize image qu...

the highest success rates for any orthopedic medical restorative process. According to Scott D. Ganz, DMD, Maxillofacial Prosthodontist, these success rates perhaps explain one of the barriers to clinicians ordering more computed tomography (CT) scans for prospective implant patients. He explains, however, that “CT imaging can help clinicians improve all aspects of implant reconstruction, inclu...
